Scheduled Ride Service

If your call goes to voicemail, please leave your name, phone number and a brief message; BAT returns calls and schedules rides each afternoon. Trips must be scheduled at least one business day ahead of your plans before 4:00 pm. 

Benson Area Transit is operated by the City of Benson.  All vehicles are wheelchair accessible and operated in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.  The City of Benson receives funding for Benson Area Transit from SEAGO Area Agency on Aging Grant and ADOT 5311 Rural Transit Grant. 

The curb to curb scheduled ride bus service is designed for seniors 60+ and eligible disabled who have a documented disability that prevents use of our regular fixed route bus stops.  
This service does not offer same day appointments.

Seniors and mobility limited riders interested in this program should complete a registration form at these links and return your form to the Benson Transit Office located in the Public Works Department of City Hall:

Benson Area Transit serves Benson, Pomerene, J-Six/Mescal and St. David areas.
Benson Area Transit Scheduled Ride Service operates Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm (no Holidays or weekends).

MONTHLY PASS FOR SENIORS 60 PLUS OR ELIGIBLE DISABLED

$15.00 

Scheduled Ride Monthly Pass can be purchased at the City of Benson Finance Department or from your driver.
