Solid Waste

City of Benson Solid Waste pickup is currently provided by Southwest Disposal.
Solid waste collection is required for every owner and occupant within city limits. (City Code Chap. 9, §9-1-7)

Solid Waste FAQ

My trashcan is damaged, what do I do?

To request a replacement trash cart, please email us at utilities@bensonaz.gov or call us at 520-586-2245.

My trash was not collected on my scheduled day, now what?

To guarantee trash collection on a scheduled collection day we encourage you to:

Place your container out at the curb by 5:00 AM or the night prior to pickup.
Make sure there is nothing preventing the collection of your trash cart, we recommend 6 feet from each side.
Place the container with the lid completely closed and facing the towards street.

My scheduled collection falls on a holiday, when will I be collected?

If your scheduled trash collection falls on a federal holiday, typically the pickup will be the day before/after. Please check the alerts on the City of Benson website or Facebook page. If you have any questions please contact utilities@bensonaz.gov or by phone at 520-586-2245.
